As water is available at every campground, we don’t recommend filling up the freshwater tank at home before you leave. That’s a lot of unnecessary extra weight to haul down the road. A couple gallons in the freshwater tank will be all you’ll need to flush the toilet and wash your hands while in transit. Bring bottled freshwater for drinking and use the campgrounds supplied water for washing. Before you leave the campsite for another destination, always dump your holding tanks at the campgrounds dumping station on your way out (if there are not sewers on the campsite).
Don’t bring more than you need. By planning your meals ahead of time, you will only pack what you plan to consume. If you are not planning on golfing while away, leave the clubs at home.
A little common sense always helps!
